The Annie Awards

Friday, December 07, 2007

The most prestigious award show in the animation industry is going down in a month, and check out who's being nominated:

Character Animation in Television Production:

Liz Harvatine for Moral Orel Eric Towner for Robot Chicken

That's our very own Eric Towner (Part of the Buddy System and co-owner of the Winnebago) and my very own amazing wife, Liz! I'm so excited for both of you, but Liz, I'm super proud of you. Without any background in animation (she was a computer science and mathematics double major) you took to it like a pro, and your starting to get recognized for your hard work and mad skills. There's nothing she can't do when she puts her big mind to it.

Good luck to the both of you....and one of you have to take me as your date!

Make Out City Studios Updates

Saturday, October 13, 2007

The Make Out City Studios homepage joined I Heart Harv.com in a bit of an update. We put links to the projects we have been working on over the last year or so, and cleaned things up a bit. Plus, the old site said "The latest short from Make Out City Studios...The Unbreakables". That was so two years ago now.

So keep an eye out for updates on both I Heart Harv and the Make Out City Studio site, because they are one.

In other fun news, Liz and I are getting close to wrapping Robot Chicken Season Three, and we have a ton of things planned for our little break. We'll be posting on that soon as well.

In the mean time, make sure you check out Tennessee's site, he's been posting a ton of great vintage Sesame Street stop-motions.

I know what you're thinking, enough Harvatine sites already! We can hardly keep up! Well, too late. I put up a new site, I Heart Harv.com, that has become a home base for all of my films. Don't get me wrong, I have much love for this Make Out City Studios site, but not everything I do flies under that banner.

Stop-Action Football Updates

Sunday, August 26, 2007

I've been working on putting together a production bible for the Stop-Action Football shorts that I started last year....the last one being for Super Bowl XLI. Liz made one puppet to show around for pitch meetings, and it looks amazing! I'll show pictures of it real soon.

Also, I've updated the Stop-Action Football website, so now it has all four films on it. Check it out and get yourself up to speed on that stuff. I hate to be so vague with what I'm up to, but I've been working with the amazingly talented Aaron Simpson on this, and we got to keep this on the low for a bit yet. So don't tell anyone.

Long time no write

Tuesday, July 31, 2007

Okay, so we've been busy. I've got a few projects finished since I've last posted....and one almost done. In a few weeks I'll put them online. Thanks for your patience.

Robot Chicken Star Wars

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

Robot Chicken Star Wars will finally be airing on June 17th at 10pm on Cartoon Network during Adult Swim....check your local listings. Here is a link that has some downloads and previews.

If you are too lazy to do that, here is a link on YouTube that you can click and watch.

Now make sure to tune in, and not just because we worked on it, but because it's totally worth it. Trust me. There will also be a Robot Chicken marathon after the Star Wars special.

What's new with you?

Friday, May 18, 2007

It's been awhile, but you can blame the man for that. Liz and I are busy working on Robot Chicken Season 3, and we haven't had the time to work on our own stuff...much. I finished the super secret mario project a few weeks ago, but I'm waiting to show the public just yet. Sorry. But I think it turned out great, for what that's worth.

I got another scheme I'm working on that I hope to get off the ground this weekend, but let me tell you, there's already a ton to be done around the house. The walls don't paint themselves! I'll try to get some pictures of my latest creations soon...I won't keep them as hush hush.

And on the lame news, the Green Bay Packers have canceled their TV show "GTV", which means that the stop-action short we created for them last year made it on their final episode...ever. After 7 great years....I blame the Vikings. That's too bad, but don't worry, we got other plans for them.

Here's a picture of a rainbow.
